FACE FIT TESTING

INTRODUCTION

What is face fit testing?

It is a method for checking that a face mask matches your facial features and seals adequately to your face. It will also help to identify if there are masks you should not use.

Face fit testing also provides an opportunity to show you how to wear face masks correctly.

What kind of masks need face fit testing?

FFP mask   half mask   full face mask
Filtering face piece (FFP)
 
Half face mask
 
Full face mask

Note: Fit testing is not required for surgical masks or loose fitting powered (positive pressure) respiratory protection, e.g. air hoods.
