Security Services – 24/7 Security Service and Control Centre

Aim

To provide a Safe & Secure working environment to all UCL staff, students and visitors

Service Level Agreement

  • Patrolling service - provided 24/7 and covering internal and external patrol of scheduled buildings and circulation areas a minimum of twice daily
  • Attendant service – where required we provide a security attendant service of static security personnel covering the reception positions for designated locations
  • Event security - we provide a security presence at UCL events given seven days notice
  • Incident investigation – we coordinate the response to any reported incidents in partnership with the appropriate authorities. We would aim to conclude an investigation within 48-hours of the initial report
  • Advice to all customers – we can offer advice 24/7 and will undertake Security Audits as required
  • Security Systems – our dedicated team provide the UCL ID Key/Card issuing service as well as installing locks, alarms, CCTV and Access Control equipment.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Monitor and report monthly on the security service to ensure all agreed security provisions are being undertaken and to act on recommendations for service improvements
  • Monitor and report monthly on service requests to ensure compliance with agreed response times
  • Monitor and report monthly on programmed activities (patrols/CCTV checks etc.) to ensure compliance with agreed work schedules
  • Report monthly on management and administrative activity including staff development and training, staff turnover, absences, health and safety, finance and environmental performance
